The Magnificent Mudslide Rescue

WHOOOOSH! A gigantic mudslide roared down the mountain, swallowing everything in its path! Zippy the fire-truck raced toward the danger, sirens screaming. His best friend Fluff the cloud zipped beside him. "Hold on, little buddy!" Zippy yelled. But the mud was faster than they thought. A huge boulder tumbled straight toward Fluff!

CRASH! Zippy spun his enormous wheels and launched his golden ladder with perfect timing. He caught Fluff just before the boulder smashed into him. "You saved me!" Fluff cheered. But now they were both sliding toward the edge of a giant cliff! The mud pulled them faster and faster. Zippy's heart hammered. This was scarier than any fire he'd ever fought.

WHOOOOSH! They tumbled over the cliff together! Zippy held tight to Fluff as they fell through the air. "Don't let go!" Fluff shouted. The ground rushed up at them. Zippy's ladder was tangled. For one terrible moment everything went silent. Then BOOM! They crashed into an enormous pile of soft leaves at the bottom.

But the mudslide wasn't finished! It formed a peculiar muddy monster that rose up with a roar. The monster grabbed Fluff and lifted him high. "My friend!" Zippy cried. He was stuck in the thick mud. His wheels spun uselessly. Fluff looked tiny and afraid. Zippy knew this was his scariest moment ever.

With a magnificent burst of courage, Zippy blasted his water cannon at the monster. VROOOOM! The mud monster melted away. Fluff floated safely down into his friend's ladder. They hugged tight as the sun broke through the clouds. "Best friends forever," Zippy said. "No mudslide can beat us together!"
